For just the second time in World Cup history and the first time in exactly 68 years, there were four draws on a single day of play, the most in a single day without a winner.
The most consequential was undoubtedly Cape Verde’s enormous tie with juggernaut Spain, a result that had 12-1 odds of coming to fruition before the match. In turn, La Roja went from +450 to +500 to win the World Cup, breaking a tie at the top with France, who is now the +425 standalone favorite. The only other notable futures movement was Uruguay lengthening from 65-1 to 90-1 following a draw with Saudi Arabia, who held pat at its long shot 1,000-1 odds.

France will have the chance to hold or improve on its World Cup favorite status when it begins its campaign in a potentially tough match with Senegal (100-1). Les Bleus are -215 favorites to the Lions’ +600, with the tie at +360. Fan favorites Argentina (10-1) and Norway (35-1) will also get their first taste of 2026 World Cup action on Tuesday.
