Another day of 2026 FIFA World Cup action is in the books, and there were some talking points.

Spain bounced back from their shocking goalless draw with Cape Verde by romping past Saudi Arabia 4-0 before Belgium battled Iran to a nervy 0-0 draw after going down to 10 players for the final half hour.

Next, the Cape Verdeans’ second-ever World Cup match was against Uruguay, and they got another point in the group stage as they drew 2-2 in Miami. New Zealand jumped out to a one-goal lead before Mohamed Salah inspired Egypt to a 3-1 win in Sunday’s late game.
