Jérémy Doku has become the latest Manchester City player to extend his contract after signing a new five-year deal, the club have confirmed.

The winger has signed an agreement until 2031 with the option of another year. Doku joins Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol and Abdukodir Khusanov in signing a long-term extension this summer.

The 24-year-old made 47 appearances last season, scoring eight goals.

Meanwhile, sources have told ESPN that City are in talks with Saudi side Al-Qadsiah over a deal for Tijjani Reijnders.

An agreement is not yet in place, but negotiations are continuing over a package worth more than £50 million. Reijnders moved to the Etihad from Milan last summer for £46.5m and made 47 appearances in all competitions last season.

City, according to sources, will look to replace any midfielders that leave before the deadline. There’s a growing acceptance internally that Rodri will move to Barcelona.

The Spanish side have had a second bid of £55m rejected. City value the midfielder, who has a year left on his contract, at more than £60m.

Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernández is of interest to City. However, Chelsea have set a deadline of 5pm on Friday for bids of £120m to be sent or the 25-year-old will stay at Stamford Bridge.
