Bayern Munich kicked off their Bundesliga season in style with a 5-1 win over Stuttgart.
Bayern are looking for a third successive title under Vincent Kompany and they set the standard during Friday night’s curtain-raiser.
Dayot Upamecano, Michael Olise, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Luiz Díaz were on the scoresheet and a Josha Vagnoman own goal delivered a statement victory in their opening game.

Vagnoman had briefly drawn Stuttgart level, but the visitors were never really in the game.
The only disappointment was for Harry Kane, who failed to score on a night when goals rained in.
