Paris Saint-Germain scored two goals in stoppage time to draw at Lille 2-2 and record their second consecutive Ligue 1 draw.

The French and European champions came from behind to draw 2-2 at Rennes last week but looked certain to leave Lille empty-handed. A spectacular first half strike from Hákon Haraldsson and an 84th-minute goal from Dilane Bakwa put the home side in command.

However, Vitinha after 91 minutes and Marquinhos four minutes later guaranteed a remarkable recovery for Luis Enrique‘s side.

Despite the relief brought by the finish, the Parisian side remain winless in the league this season and after two matches have dropped more points than they had by early October last term.

It meant heartbreak for Lille who were denied a first league victory over the champions since 2021.

There was no Bradley Barcola for PSG ahead of his expected €140 million (£120M / $163M) move to Liverpool, nevertheless Luis Enrique was able to send out a strong lineup, including a first league start for new singing Ferran Torres following his two goals as a substitute against Rennes.

The breakthrough for the home side came in the 21st minute. Olivier Giroud, a month short of his 39th birthday, played the ball to Haraldsson who made space and fired behind Matvei Safonov from outside the box.

And Lille look assured of the points when, six minutes from the end, Giroud again was the catalyst, this time teeing up Bakwa who marked his debut after moving on loan from Nottingham Forest with a left-footed strike into the top corner.

The champions looked beaten, but then the fightback began. First, Mika Godts worked the ball to Vitinha, the midfielder taking aim from outside the box and finding the net beyond goalkeeper Berke Özer.

Still it looked like being insufficient, until with almost six minutes of added time played Marquinhos maneuvered to meet Vitinha’s corner and headed home to cap a stunning finale.

The Associated Press and PA contributed to this report.
