Matías Galarza is joining Inter Miami CF from Argentinian side River Plate, a source told ESPN.
The Paraguay midfielder signed a contract with Inter Miami on Wednesday, officially securing Galarza’s move to South Florida on the final day of the MLS transfer window.
Galarza is familiar with MLS have completed a season on loan with Atlanta United FC earlier this year. He recorded one assist in 13 appearances for Atlanta across all competitions — including MLS regular season games and U.S. Open Cup play.
Galarza also played an integral role for Paraguay at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring one goal in a group stage match against Türkiye and an assist in a shocking round of 32 win over Germany.

Galarza becomes Inter Miami’s second signing on deadline day, joining Brazilian winger Riquelme Fillipi, whose deal was confirmed earlier on Wednesday.
The two players join the club as new head coach Cristian Gonzalez takes over for interim manager Guillermo Hoyos.
Inter Miami made several roster moves during this window, with a source confirming to ESPN that defender Noah Allen is set to join the Chicago Fire FC. The two clubs are in advanced negotiations, with a deal set to be finalized shortly.
The MLS secondary transfer window closes at midnight on Wednesday.

Allen was absent from Inter Miami training on Wednesday morning.
Inter Miami also loaned midfielder David Ruiz to the New York Red Bulls, with the Herons receiving $75,000 in 2027 general allocation money for the deal. The Red Bulls also hold the option to make Ruiz’s move permanent at the end of the current season.
Inter Miami sits in second place on the Eastern Conference table with 42 points in 22 games.
