LAFC announced the signing Thursday of forward Armindo Sieb from Bayern Munich on a permanent transfer through the 2028-29 MLS season.
The deal with the Bundesliga club comes with an additional option to retain Sieb through 2029-30.
Sieb joins the club after spending two seasons on loan with Mainz, where he recorded five goals and three assists in 62 appearances across all competitions.
“Armindo is an exciting young player whose technical ability, pace, and attacking prowess will add another dimension to our attack,” LAFC President of Soccer Operations John Thorrington said in a press release. “He has already gained valuable experience at a young age in one of the world’s top footballing environments and has consistently demonstrated the qualities we value in our players.

Sieb also featured for Greuther Fürth in 2.Bundesliga, netting 17 goals and four assists in 66 appearances over two seasons.
Internationally, the 23-year-old forward has represented Germany at the U16, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 levels.

LAFC is in second place in the Western Conference with 34 points from 19 games, while also competing to reach the knockout round of the 2026 Leagues Cup.
LAFC has seven points after winning one match and drawing the other two games before earning the additional point when winning in penalties. LAFC is in third place of the Leagues Cup table, but await the outcomes of both Austin FC and Chicago Fire FC on Thursday to see if it will advance to the next round of the competition.
