Cristiano Ronaldo began his 25th season as a professional with his 977th career goal as he came off the bench to help Al Nassr secure a 4-0 win on Friday.
Ronaldo, back in the Al Nassr squad for the first time since the World Cup and following his recent wedding, was named among the substitutes by new boss Ange Postecoglou for their Saudi Pro League clash at Al Riyadh.
The 41-year-old Portugal star came on in the 62nd minute with his side already 3-0 up, thanks to goals from Abdulelah Al-Amri, Ângelo Gabriel and João Félix.
With seven minutes remaining Ronaldo expertly dragged back a low cross from Aiman Yahya before sweeping the ball home from eight yards.

The strike saw Ronaldo move closer to the 1,000 goal milestone and was his 130th goal for Al Nassr in all competitions since joining the club in December 2022.
Ronaldo did not feature for Al Nassr in their opening league win over Al Fateh last week or their King’s Cup victory at Al Diriyah on Tuesday.
