Real Oviedo were relegated from LaLiga in Spain last season and their preparations to bounce back have been interrupted by wild boars at their training ground.
The animals have broken into the club’s training facility on two nights and damaged the playing surfaces of two of the four pitches.
The first damage was discovered in the early hours of Tuesday. But 24 hours later the wild boars had struck again — causing even further problems.

They returned to the pitch which they had first damaged to further ruin the grass, before also going to a pitch used by Oviedo’s women‘s team and reserve team. So far, the pitches usually used by Oviedo’s first team have been left alone.
The El Requexón training facility is in a rural area, near the Nora River, and it is normal for wild animals to roam nearby.

Oviedo are plotting a move to a new training facility soon so are cutting costs at El Requexón which has resulted in damage to areas which are no longer being repaired.
Oviedo finished bottom of Spain’s top division last season with just six wins all campaign. They begin their new campaign on Saturday against Leganés hoping to return to LaLiga.
