The New York Red Bulls announced that striker Julian Hall has signed a new four-year contract with the club.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed, but the deal lasts until the 2029-30 MLS season.
Hall, a Manhattan native, has signed U-22 initiative contract, becoming the youngest American and the first Red Bull academy product to sign such a deal at 18 years, 156 days old.
When he made his debut for the club back on Sept. 30, 2023, he was the second youngest player in league history behind Freddy Adu.
“Obviously I’m super grateful and I’m just really excited to continue my football here,” Hall told ESPN in an exclusive interview.

“It’s just great to have the trust of the coaches in the organization and the trust they have in me.”
When asked about whether he expected to be in this position heading into the campaign, Hall said, “I don’t think I’ve ever really been able to plan out every season and I think I come into every season with the same mentality just to do my best and try and help the team as much as possible. And I’m grateful that I’m in this position right now.”
Hall has been a revelation for the Red Bulls this season, scoring 12 goals and adding four assists in all competitions. Earlier this season he became the youngest player in MLS history to record a hat trick, scoring all three Red Bulls goals in a 3-2 win over Columbus on May 13.
Hall was also named to the 2026 MLS All-Star team, the second youngest player in team history to do so. Across all competitions, Hall has made 68 appearances, scoring 16 goals and adding five assists.
“Julian has become an important part of our first team, and we believe he will continue to play a significant role for us,” head of sport Julian de Guzman said in a statement. “He has earned the trust of his teammates and coaching staff through his performances, his mentality and the way he continues to grow. This new contract reflects how highly we value Julian and the role we see him playing for our club.”
Among Hall’s strengths is the timing of his runs and his ability to find space in the box. He indicated that on-field awareness is the key to maximizing his abilities in those areas.
“It’s kind of a lot of thoughts that combine into one. A lot of things happen really fast and I think it’s just the biggest thing for me is just being aware,” he said. “I mean, in every position on the field, you have to have great awareness of where you are, where your teammates are and where the defenders and opponents are. So I think I kind of try to take all that into account in the small time that I have.”
Hall’s exploits have drawn the attention of clubs in Europe, with RB Leipzig — part of the Red Bull family of clubs — and Atlético Madrid among those reportedly interested.

Hall stressed that his attention is currently on his hometown club.
“I mean obviously I signed when I was 15. I was young and as a kid it’s always been a dream to go to Europe,” he said.
“But my focus has always been here and I just want to do the best to my ability to help the team and progress forward.”
Hall holds dual U.S. and Polish citizenship, and has been seen wearing the name “Zakrzewski” on the back of his jersey in a nod to his Polish mother.

But Hall didn’t indicate either way which way he is leaning in towards of who he will represent internationally.
Hall said he has had “no conversations” with U.S. manager Mauricio Pochettino about playing for the USMNT.
“I have two great nationalities that have been interested,” Hall said.
“I grew up with my mom who is Polish and my father’s side is American and I respect both nationalities. But right now I’ve been pretty neutral with my approach to that.”
