Three-time Liga MX champion manager André Jardine is out as Club América coach after winning six titles in three years, the team announced on Wednesday.
Jardine, who was under contract until 2027, made history with three consecutive titles: Apertura 2023, Clausura 2024, and Apertura 2024. He also won the 2024 Campeón de Campeones, Supercopa MX 2024 and the Campeones Cup in the same year.
“We have nothing left to do but thank you for all the commitment and hard work you have dedicated to our institution, André,” the Liga MX giant said in a statement. “You became the most successful head coach in the Club’s history, and your mark will remain engraved permanently in our history.”

Former Pachuca and Real Oviedo manager Guillermo Almada is the leading candidate to take over América’s coaching position, sources told ESPN MX.
Before arriving at América, Jardine led the Brazil national team to a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. His first coaching job in Mexico was in 2022 with Atlético Madrid‘s affiliate, Atlético de San Luis, which he left after the Clausura 2023.
