England striker Ivan Toney has been charged with assault after an incident at a London nightclub.
Toney was charged on July 31 with assault causing actual bodily harm. He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Sept. 24.
The charge relates to an incident from Dec. 6, 2025, in Soho.
A spokesperson for Toney said: “Ivan acknowledges the charge and although he is naturally shocked, he looks forward to being given the opportunity to clear his name in court.”

Toney currently plays for Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League but earned a call-up to England’s World Cup squad earlier this summer. He was a late substitute in the 2-1 semifinal defeat to Argentina as England chased an equaliser, and his only start came against France in the third-place playoff which England won 6-4. Toney has 10 international caps and has scored once.
Prior to moving to Saudi Arabia, Toney was promoted from the Championship to the Premier League with Brentford. He has scored 36 goals in 85 appearances in the top flight and has also notably played for Northampton Town, Newcastle United and Peterborough United.
