The Munich Football Arena and Barcelona‘s Spotify Camp Nou will host the 2028 and 2029 UEFA Champions League finals, European football’s governing body confirmed Tuesday.
Bayern Munich‘s stadium — also known as the Allianz Arena for sponsorship reasons — held the 2025 and 2012 finals, but it will be the first time in exactly 30 years that Camp Nou has been the venue for the biggest game in European club football.
Camp Nou last hosted the final in 1999, when Manchester United famously scored two late goals to beat Bayern 2-1 to claim the second of their three European Cups.
While the 70,000-capacity Allianz Arena is ready to go, Camp Nou is still being redeveloped as part of a revamp which began in 2023.
After over two years playing away from their home stadium, Barça returned to Camp Nou last November, but work is still ongoing.

The capacity is currently capped at 62,000, with the third tier yet to be completed and the roof still to be put on.
Barça estimate that the stadium, which will eventually hold 105,000 fans, will be finished towards the end of 2027 — or at the latest by 2028.
This season’s Champions League final will be played at Atlético Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium.
There was also confirmation Tuesday that the Parc Olympic Lyonnais and the National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff will host the 2028 and 2029 UEFA Women’s Champions League finals, respectively.

Meanwhile, the 2028 and 2029 UEFA Europa League finals will be played at the National Arena in Bucharest and the National Stadium Serbia in Belgrade.
The UEFA Conference League showpieces in the same years will take place at Juventus Stadium in Turin and the Puskás Aréna in Budapest.
Finally, the 2027 UEFA Super Cup with be played at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam and the 2028 edition will be hosted by the Astana Arena in Astana.
