Inter Miami has signed Riquelme Fillipi from Brazilian team Palmeiras through the conclusion of the 2029-30 MLS season, with an extension option for the 2030-31 season.

He is set to occupy an under-22 Initiative slot and will join the club upon receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa.

Riquelme joins Inter Miami after 80 appearances with Palmeiras’ U20 side, scoring 30 goals and four assists. His efforts with the youth team earned the winger 11 matches for the Palmeiras first team across competitions, including Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Campeonato Paulista, Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores U20.

Riquelme becomes the first official signing since Inter Miami announced Cristian ‘Kily’ González would take over as head coach.

Inter Miami continues to make different roster moves this transfer window, with a source confirming to ESPN that defender Noah Allen is set to join the Chicago Fire.

The two clubs are in advanced negotiations, with a deal set to be executed shortly. The MLS secondary transfer window closes at midnight on Wednesday.

Allen was absent from Inter Miami training on Wednesday morning.

“I’m losing a good friend, one of the closest people I have in life in general so for me it was a bit different [the mood in training today.] I still have to get used to it,” Inter Miami midfielder Yannick Bright said on Wednesday about Allen.

“It’s tough, not knowing where you could be tomorrow. I haven’t been in MLS for long but honestly in my opinion it shouldn’t be a thing that you can find yourself in another team like tomorrow. But it is what it is. I am not going to change it, you are not going to change it but we’ll see what happens in the future.”

Inter Miami sit in second place on the Eastern Conference table with 42 points in 22 games.
