LaLiga side Valencia have appointed former Mexico coach Javier Aguirre on an initial deal until the end of the season.
The agreement for Aguirre to take over at Mestalla includes an option for him to remain in charge for a second season.
Aguirre, 67, replaces Carlos Corberán, who was sacked last week after Valencia failed to win any of their opening five league games.

Valencia have since won a match, beating Alavés before losing to Real Sociedad, to climb off the foot of the table with four points from their opening seven fixtures.
Aguirre has spent the last two years in charge of Mexico, overseeing a round-of-16 exit to England at the World Cup this past summer.
Following elimination from the tournament, which Mexico co-hosted with the United States and Canada, he was replaced by Rafa Márquez as part of a succession plan which was already in place.

As well as Mexico, Aguirre has also coached the Japanese and Egyptian national teams, while he has extensive experience working in Spain.
Valencia will become the seventh team he has managed in the country following spells with Osasuna, Atlético Madrid, Real Zaragoza, Espanyol, Leganés and, most recently, Mallorca.
