In a symbolic moment of the visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping gifted Trump with rose seeds during a walk around the residence.
For its part, China’s Foreign Ministry called on the US and Iran to accelerate diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement, while Beijing praised the meeting as having helped strengthen bilateral cooperation and “contributes to global stability.”
